Collection: Artificial Plants & Flowers

Artificial plants and flowers can add shape and colour to a room, from a small arrangement on a shelf to a tall tree beside furniture. Choose the overall scale first, then check the supplied container and the care instructions for the exact design.

Measure beyond the pot

A narrow pot can support foliage that spreads much further into the room. Compare the plant's full height, width and depth with nearby doors, curtains, lights and seating. Check whether the stated height includes the supplied pot and whether a raised planter would add to it.

Our artificial-plant size and placement guide compares tall indoor examples and explains how to plan for their leaf spread. For stems and sprays, consider the container's opening and depth as well as the height of the finished arrangement.

Confirm the container and contents

Check whether the product includes a decorative planter, a plain nursery-style pot or the stem alone. Photography can show styling accessories that are not supplied. If you are choosing a separate container, confirm the supplied pot's outside dimensions against its internal opening and depth, with stable support underneath.

Use the stated location and care guidance

Do not assume an artificial plant is suitable for a patio or garden. Only choose it for outdoor use when the product's own specification confirms that suitability, and follow any limits on sun, moisture or exposure. Indoor examples can have specific restrictions too. Follow the model's instructions for arranging foliage and removing dust; avoid assuming it can be washed or cleaned with household sprays.
